How it Works: Join a Cohort, Build Your Network, Launch Your Career

  • Start by submitting a simple application highlighting your skills, areas of interest, and career aspirations. We’re looking for talented students who are ready to make an impact and grow professionally.

  • Once accepted, you’ll be paired with students from other disciplines to form a core project team (typically product, design, engineering) and matched to an innovative startup in the RTP area. Matches are made based on your skills, career goals, and the projects companies are working on.

  • As a cohort member, you’re not just joining a program—you’re joining a community. Throughout the duration of the program, you’ll connect with fellow Listers through:

    • Networking Events: Build relationships with peers, mentors, and industry professionals.

    • Workshops: Sharpen your professional skills with tailored sessions.

    • Group Activities: Foster a sense of camaraderie and shared growth.

    • Work on meaningful projects that align with your expertise and interests.

    • Gain exposure to diverse industries, roles, and work cultures.

  • The program culminates in a Showcase Event where you’ll present your contributions to the community. This is your chance to highlight your achievements, expand your network, and open doors to potential career opportunities.

  • "Joining The Seed List as a Design Lead Intern was scary. I questioned if I had what it took to help build something from the ground up. But Amanda and Runbin gave our cohort the opportunity (right resources and projects) to elevate our strengths and own the projects from start to finish, and it was refreshing, challenging, and rewarding."

Michael Dankwah Agyeman-Prempeh, 2025 Summer Cohort Student

  • “I learned so much throughout the summer and felt so safe and supported. I can’t wait to tackle my next project.”
